The Washbay valet and detailing was established in 1988 and has been in business for over 35 years.

We specialise in all types of vehicles from brand-new vehicles sometimes direct from the main dealership to older vehicles from customers looking to get them back to life again.

Believe it or not your brand new car paint is usually overlooked and full of contaminants collected on the journey from the factory to your dealer and this detail is perfect to give your brand new car the best start in life.

Depending on the condition of your cars paint, we would advise you as to what amount of paint enhancement and machine polishing would be required to restore your vehicle paintwork.  Some vehicles may need a single stage others may require two or three stages to restore the paint work.

We are accredited certified detailers in ceramic coatings, meaning not only are we trained and skilled but also able to offer a warranty.

PROTECTION DETAIL - Duration: 1 Day
  • Price starting from: £160 + VAT

This is our entry level exterior protection detail package which is designed to clean and protect all exterior surfaces of the vehicle.

  • Citrus pre-wash (ph neutral ) using warm water to safely remove all traces of loose dirt and grime from the bodywork
  • Wheels and wheel arches cleaned with a non-acidic wheel cleaner
  • Initial snow foam (ph neutral) left to dwell and then rinsed
  • Full paint & glass chemical decontamination to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as tar spots, metal filings and tree sap
  • Door sills and checks cleaned and dried
  • Full pure shampoo – (ph neutral) body wash two-bucket method using lambs-wool wash mitt
  • Clay bar bodywork and glass
  • Air blow dry car with warm filtered air
  • Exterior glass cleaned & sealed giving 6 months protection
  • Alloy wheel sealed giving 6 months protection
  • Plastic waxed and sealed giving 6 months protection
  • Apply Si02 sealant to enhance surface gloss giving 6 months protection
  • **This package can be upgraded with a Ceramic Coating at an additional cost** 
NEW / USED CAR DETAIL - Duration: 1 Day

Our new car details takes on average 1 day to complete compared to dealerships that only take a couple hours to do.

Don’t be fooled by dealership offerings of protection bundles that rarely last couple of weeks due to bad workmanship and poor preparation.We advise that you ask the dealership not to touch the car. This will save money on fixing defects.

ENHANCEMENT DETAIL - Duration: 2 Days

Price starting from: £350 + VAT.  Price on viewing vehicle.

Our enhancement exterior protection detail package is designed for vehicles with minor to moderate paint defects such as swirl marks, scratches and holograms and also to clean and protect all exterior surfaces of the vehicle.

  • Citrus pre-wash (ph neutral ) using warm water to safely remove all traces of loose dirt and grime from the bodywork
  • Wheels and wheel arches cleaned with a non-acidic wheel cleaner
  • Initial snow foam (ph neutral) left to dwell and then rinsed
  • Full paint & glass chemical decontamination to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as tar spots, metal filings and tree sap
  • Door sills and checks cleaned and dried
  • Full pure shampoo – (ph neutral) body wash two-bucket method using lambs-wool wash mitt
  • Clay bar bodywork and glass
  • Air blow dry car with warm filtered air
  • Single stage machine polish using a fine compound to remove swirls marks, birdlime and fine scratches to refine paintwork and enhance surface gloss
  • Exterior glass cleaned & sealed giving 6 months protection
  • Alloy wheel sealed giving 6 months protection
  • Plastic waxed and sealed giving 6 months protection
  • Wipe down with alcohol panel wipe to remove polish residue
  • Apply Si02 sealant to enhance surface gloss giving 6 months protection.

ENHANCEMENT DETAIL 2nd Stage - Duration: 2/3 Days

Price starting from: £600 + VAT.  Price on viewing vehicle

This package is for vehicles that require more detailing than our entry level procedure and is designed to greatly enhance the visual and surface gloss appearance of the bodywork.

It adds to the stage 1 Enhancement Detail procedure above by adding in a stage 2 machine polishing process.

  • Citrus pre-wash (ph neutral ) using warm water to safely remove all traces of loose dirt and grime from the bodywork
  • Wheels and wheel arches cleaned with a non-acidic wheel cleaner
  • Initial snow foam (ph neutral) left to dwell and then rinsed
  • Full paint & glass chemical decontamination to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as tar spots, metal filings and tree sap
  • Door sills and checks cleaned and dried
  • Full pure shampoo – (ph neutral) body wash two-bucket method using lambs-wool wash mitt
  • Clay bar bodywork and glass
  • Air blow dry car with warm filtered air
  • Tape up rubber / plastic trims
  • Stage 1 machine polish using a medium compound 
  • Stage 2 machine polish using a fine compound to remove swirls marks, birdlime and fine scratches to refine paintwork and enhance surface gloss   
  • Exterior glass cleaned & sealed giving 6 months protection 
  • Alloy wheel sealed giving 6 months protection 
  • Plastic waxed and sealed giving 6 months protection 
  • Wipe down with alcohol panel wipe to remove polish residue
